The Complete Guide to Mazda CX 3

The Mazda CX-3 is the smallest SUV in the company’s inventory, and it competes in the subcompact SUV market with CX-30. However, it is only marginally more expensive and more extensive. Despite being close by, the CX-3 partially is surpassed by the CX-30. It outperforms other small crossovers thanks to its upscale interior, fun driving experience, and brash exterior design.

Moreover, the Mazda CX-3 Perth may also be called the SUV for every car enthusiast  as it has an eager chassis which would come to life when driven on winding roads, even while its seating height is slightly higher compared to the ones on a Mazda 3 hatchback and sedan. The power is from its 146-hp 4-cylinder engine. However, it could be smoother and all-wheel drive costs extra.

The CX-3 is more current and spacious, appealing to buyers turned off by the restricted passenger and cargo capacity, allowing you to upgrade without spending too much money.

Is the Mazda CX 3 a Great Car?

The Mazda CX-3 is for you if you’re searching for a small family vehicle that’s simple to drive, easy to see out of and entertaining on a winding road. Although based on the Mazda 2, the Renault Captur, Citroen C3 Aircross, and Nissan Juke are better competitors due to their jacked-up exterior and significantly roomier interior.

Yet, from the outside, it doesn’t appear as striking as the “look at me” Juke and the “customizable” C3 Aircross. Nevertheless, it lacks the visual appeal a small SUV requires to stand out on the school run. Indeed, its prominent grille and narrow headlamps appear rather fierce, and those lines on the doors look sharper than Citroen’s bulbous waistline.

The Mazda CX-3’s clever, straightforward interior is less-fascinating than the Citroen’s cabin, which is a similar story. The circular air vents and enormous central rev counter give you the impression that you are sitting in a sports vehicle on stilts, and everything is easy to use, including the included 7-inch touchscreen.

But the CX-3’s back seats and four doors make it less like a hacked-up sports car. Adults will undoubtedly feel more confined in the back than in a vehicle like the Citroen C3 Aircross. Although the Mazda CX-3’s boot is less roomy than the Citroen’s, you can still fit a few pieces of luggage, a giant baby stroller, and a few soft bags.

Interior of a Mazda CX-3

The CX-3 is a minimal crossover that looks like a Mazda2 on stilts. The most significant difference between the two is that it is taller, making it easier to enter and exit, and has loftier seating that improves visibility.

It feels normal despite its 200cm-tall tester partner up front, who is seated in the CX-3’s small but comfortable front seats. This has something to do with the substantial amount of adjustability and space that is readily available. It’s an excellent position for driving.

The Mazda2 and Mazda CX-3 Both have the same dashboard architecture, as well as the oddly shaped center speedometer that is bordered on the left by the tacho that is the shortest in the world and to the right by information from the trip computer or fuel gauge. The redesigned centre console of the 2018 model has a high-end feel, and the controls feel well-made and oiled. The stylised turbine air vents are reminiscent of those on the previous generation Audi A1.

Doors that extend over 80 degrees make it surprisingly simple to enter and exit the backseat; the seats, albeit a touch short for longer legs, are well-padded, properly positioned, and comfortable; there is also an overhead grab bar with a small bottle holder, one map pocket, and coat hooks. Your 178-cm tester may sit behind with plenty of space for shoes and enough room for their knees and heads.

As you would anticipate, the boot is large and deep further back, but it is also somewhat short because of the short rear. Moreover, its loading lip may be slightly high, but there is still plenty of space, and a spare wheel that saves space is hidden beneath its floor. There will be two of these, with one providing further cover from curious eyes. The rated capacity of the cargo is a respectable 264 or 1174 litres, when the 60/40 rear backrests are folded.

The CX-3’s cabin has aged nearly as good as its performance, except for poor side and rear view, especially given the pricing.

Accessories of a Mazda CX-3

Numerous standard features are included with the Neo Sport, including a reverse camera, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), a 7.0-inch centre touchscreen with  Android Auto compatibility, an armrest and console bin, an electric park brake with a hill-hold function, digital radio, and electric folding mirrors.

Engine stop or start, six airbags, cruise control, rear parking sensors, air conditioning, Bluetooth phone and music streaming, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, internet radio integration, and two USB ports are standard features on this vehicle. 215/60R16 tyres mounted on steel wheels come with a space-saving spare.
